Cha Hua Shi – Broken Silver from Yunnan
🪨 Stone flower with a silky nutty flavor
Cha Hua Shi, which translates as „stone flower,“ is a rare type of shu pu’er originating in the Chinese province of Yunnan. This tea is produced through a long fermentation process using the wet pile (wo dui) method, during which compact tea „stones“ are formed, known as Broken Silver – named after their similarity to the ancient currency unit liang.
✨ The taste is dominated by a subtle bitterness that quickly transforms into velvety notes of nuts and spices, accompanied by a full, dense texture and an exceptionally rich sensory profile.
